The nitty gritty...

"Don't be discouraged because you cannot do much for God. It's not our ability but our availability that's important. Give what you are to Christ. Be sensitive and responsive to what He wants to do. Trust Him." [Robert Boyd Munger]

I'm filling out paper work to send in to the orphanage.

They ask me if I have any health issues (and my face unconsciously makes the Nacho Libre bummer expression.)

My family has a flair for weird and abundant health issues. I hate to admit that I'm not the most reliable cookie when it comes to health stuff. (Altho I'm super blessed to be overall quite healthy!)

But then I remember the God I'm saying 'yes' to. He's the Healer. And He's the One who called me.

As with any dream, there will always be setbacks. Always be shortcomings. I may not be healthy enough, strong enough, experienced enough, whatever they may be...I can't deny. But our God has a tendency to do His mightiest of works through the smallest of people. There He receives the full glory and high honor. And if I wait for everything to be 'just so' and until I feel fully capable - well, as Henry James put it, "Things are always different from what they might be. If you wait for them to change, you will never do anything." Truth is, it's not about my capability, but God's.

Let me be small, unlikely.

Let Him work wonders.

He will accomplish that which He has purposed.
